Evergreen Area Police report

February 12
Child Annoying

Santokh Singh Sajan was arrested for making inappropriate sexual comments at a 14-year old girl. The incident occurred at about 3:00 p.m., on Firth Way between Threadneedle Way and Bagpipe Way in San Jose. Suspect Sajan was working as an ice cream truck vendor. Further investigation revealed the suspect had previously annoyed one other victim.

Feb. 21
Armed Robbery

2500 Block of King Road
A Black male adult entered the store.  He brandished a small black weapon and demanded money from the clerk.  The suspect took money from the register and money from the clerk's wallet.  The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot southbound from the store.  No vehicle was seen.  The area was checked for the suspect and witnesses. 

Feb. 24
Taser Deployment

2600 Block of Puccini Avenue 
Officers were dispatched to a family disturbance involving an intoxicated male who had armed himself with a weapon.  Upon arrival the suspect was confrontational with officers and did not comply with orders.  The taser was used to take the suspect into custody.  There were no injuries to officers or the suspect.  The suspect was evaluated at local hospital and booked for resisting arrest.

Felony Arrest-Parole Violation

Leyva Middle School
A subject wanted on a parole violation was taken into custody at Leyva Middle School. During an after school volleyball game, a student recognized the subject who he had seen on the television show “Fugitive Watch”. The coach checked the Fugitive Watch website and confirmed the subject was wanted. Officers arrived and escorted the subject out of the gym where he was arrested.

Robbery

1700 Block of S. White Road
The victim was approached on the campus of Mt. Pleasant High School by several suspects. The suspects beat the victim and took his property. One of the suspects had been armed with a bat. The victim refused medical attention. The suspects were not apprehended. The School Liaison was advised of the incident.

Mar.4
Death Case

2800 Block of Glenfrost Court
Fire and AMR responded to a report of a male in his mid-fifties who had consumed too much alcohol and did not appear to be breathing. Fire personnel performed CPR without success. The male was pronounced dead at 1124 hours. The area commander was notified.
