Cevalo Riding Academy

Register today for summer riding camps

Registration is now open for Cevalo Riding Academy’s 2005 Summer Horsemanship Camps. This popular day-camp program introduces young riders to the joy of working with horses.

Campers learn basic horsemanship and riding skills through a series of hands-on activities and games. Each session is tailored to the abilities and experience of the students, enabling both first-time riders and those with prior riding experience to have a great time.

This year, Cevalo is offering two types of camp sessions: five-day sessions for children 8 and up and special three-day mini-camp sessions for 6 and 7-year-olds. All sessions include one hour of riding instruction per day and feature hands-on activities and demonstrations that cover a wide range of horse-related topics, such as grooming techniques, hoof care, feeding and training.

Sessions start June 20 and run through Aug. 19. Early sign-ups are encouraged, as space in each session is limited. For more information, visit Cevalo’s Web site at www.cevaloridingacademy.org and click on the “Camps” link or call (408) 227-3529.

Too old for summer camp or can’t wait to get started? Cevalo Riding Academy offers riding lessons for children and adults year round! Cevalo has a wide range of school horses suitable for beginners as well as experienced riders. Call today to sign up for an introductory lesson or a summer lesson package.

Cevalo Riding Academy is an educational non-profit corporation whose purpose is to educate the community about horses and provide a safe environment for children and adults to learn horsemanship, sportsmanship and teamwork.
