Several Sierra District Scouting organizations recently raised more than $1,550 in donations to help tsunami victims rebuild their lives. Evergreen scouts from Troop 251, Pack 251, Pack 275 and Crew 251 joined the tsunami relief effort by collecting donations on behalf of the International Red Cross and UNICEF.
Approximately 35 scouts participated at three local Albertsons locations that supported their efforts, including the Albertson’s at Capitol and Tully Roads, Aborn and White Roads and Blossom Hill and Monterey Roads.
For more information on the Boy Scouts of America organization and on how scouting supports the local community and communities throughout the world, contact Patricia Cuadros, Troop 251 committee chairperson or the Santa Clara County District office (408) 280-5088.
