Local resident opens first Cartridge World franchise in Evergreen
Grand opening celebration on Saturday, Feb. 26
When Frank Salamanca’s semiconductor employer offered him a relocation package to Singapore in lieu of a layoff notice, he opted to stay in the area and “reinvent” himself. He now owns and operates a Cartridge World franchise in Evergreen that refills and remanufactures printer cartridges at a substantial savings.

| Evergreen resident Frank Salamanca just opened up Evergreen’s first Cartridge World at 3237 South White Road, in the Save Mart shopping center. |
“We started searching for an opportunity about a year ago, and this one rose to the top of the list,” said Salamanca, who lives in Evergreen with his wife Cris and his son Francis, a student at Most Holy Trinity. His daughter Coreen is in her second year of college at the University of San Francisco.
Here’s why Cartridge World stood out. Founded 15 years ago, the franchise is rapidly expanding across four continents. It has become the world leader with over 700 stores in 15 different countries with system-wide revenues in excess of $100 million.
According to Lyra Research, more than 1 billion toner and inkjet cartridges are shipped worldwide each year, resulting in $20 billion worth of sales. Cartridge World is staking its claim in the printer supply industry, opening one new store every day throughout the world.
The quick and easy cartridge refill services offered by Cartridge World allow customers to refill their printer cartridges with as much ease as they refill the gas tanks of their cars. They know that they are getting back the same printer cartridge that they brought in—with a money back guarantee—for about half the cost of a new cartridge.
Cartridge World opened its first store in the United States in January 2003 and now operates nearly 50 locations across America. In fact, more than 90 percent of the United States’ market is currently under development by Cartridge World.
“There is no difference in the print quality of our refilled cartridges because we use the best laser toner and premium inks available,” said Salamanca. “Before the cartridge leaves our store, we will ensure print quality by thoroughly testing each cartridge and backing them with our 100 percent satisfaction guarantee.”
Cartridge World offers free delivery and pick up to qualified businesses, Salamanca will be happy to visit your business for a free, no obligation quote.
