EBPA mixer Feb. 21 at Evergreen Library
The Evergreen Business & Professional Association will be holding its first 2007 Mixer on Feb. 21 starting at 6 p.m. at the Evergreen Public Library Community Room. Speakers will include Michael C. Elkin, Assistant District Director, U.S. Small Business Administration. Elkin is responsible for all management training and consulting programs in the San Francisco region, including 10 small business development centers, five SCORE chapters and three entrepreneur
centers. Last year, these programs provided services to over 43,000 business and start-ups.
In addition, General Eldon P. Regua, Assistant Division Commander for the 104th Division (Institutional Training) located at Vancouver Barracks, Washington, will also be speaking. The main theme will be “A Call to Duty.” General Regua recently returned from Iraq.
Evergreen Fine Arts Festival in need of sponsors

Rebuilding Together accepting applications for free repair work for low income homeowners
Rebuilding Together brings together communities and volunteers to rehabilitate the homes of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled. All work is provided at no cost to the applicant. Repair work focuses on providing warmth, safety, and independence. Safety improvements are made throughout the year and one and two-day repair projects happen each April and October. Evergreen Valley Recreational Club now accepting pool club membership applications
Evergreen Valley Recreational Club (EVRC) at 3380 Woodside Lane, San Jose is accepting membership applications. Membership cost is $375. The pool will be open daily from May 12 to Sept. 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Swim lessons are available by a licensed instructor. Applications are available at the pool entrance, or at www.evrcpool.tk or at http://www.geocities.com/evrc_email/index.html. Completed applications can be deposited at the pool mailbox or can be mailed to the pool address on the application form.
