Two Evergreen musicians play in CMEA concert
Tarik Bryant (left) from LeyVa Middle School and Nic Ford from Chaboya Middle School were among a select group of students to perform in the California Music Educators Association (CMEA) conference concert on Saturday, Jan. 15 at San Jose State University. Tarik on trumpet and Nic on contra bass clarinet joined about 150 other students representing schools throughout Northern California. Karen Kolber is the band teacher for both students.
ESD to hold Feb. 17 public hearing
Two Evergreen School District board of trustees meetings will occur in February. The board will discuss Superintendent Tom Andrade’s contract on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m., and there will be a public hearing held on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the availability of textbooks and instructional materials for the 2004-05 school year.
