Evergreen Area Police report

Jan. 16
Possession of Illegal Weapons
Brigadoon Park
Officers observed a suspicious vehicle leaving the above area. An officer conducted an investigative car stop subsequently seizing two pellet guns (Beretta replicas), brass knuckles, bats, sticks, various fighting knives with 10-inch blades, and a machete. The suspects were transported to pre-processing where they confessed. Officers interrupted a fight to take place at Brigadoon Park between several parties. Four juvenile suspects were booked at Juvenile Hall. The 18-year-old driver was booked into jail. The fight was not gang related.

Robbery / Car Jacking
Lyon’s Market
A victim was physically assaulted by two suspects who kicked and punched him to the ground. The suspects took the victim’s keys and then stole his car. Both suspects are unidentified and still outstanding at this time.

Shooting at Grandwell Way leaves one dead, suspect at large
On Jan. 22 at 2:08 a.m., San Jose Police Officers responded on a call of a shooting in the 100 block of Grandwell Way. On arrival, officers located a male victim in the backyard of the residence. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians responded to the scene. Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was attending a party at the residence when an argument broke out inside. The victim and suspect continued to argue outside. The suspect pulled out a gun and fired it at the victim. The suspect then fled the scene.
