Attended Death
4400 block of San Felipe Road
A 69-year-old white female, residing at the Regency Evergreen Assisted Living Facility, was discovered dead by the attendants. The victim was under a doctor’s care for heart ailments. AMR personnel responded and pronounced her dead at the scene. There was no visual evidence of foul play, and the case was turned over to the coroner.

Kidnapping/Domestic Battery/Terrorist Threats
1500 block of S. White Road
Officers responded to the above location on the report of a kidnapping. They arrived on-scene and learned that the 36 year-old female victim had been assaulted and taken by force from her home. The 41 year-old male suspect (ex-boyfriend) drove with the victim and ultimately let her go back in the area of her home. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and advised she would seek medical attention at a later time. While on-scene, officers learned that the suspect was calling the victim’s cell phone. Officers managed to convince the suspect to return to the scene and took the suspect into custody without incident. The suspect also had several no bail warrants for his arrest for domestic battery.

2225 Quimby Rd. – Bank of America
An adult male presented a note demanding money from a teller at the Bank of America. The teller gave him money and the suspect fled. The suspect was stopped at Nieman / Capitol, arrested and booked for robbery.

Fatal Accident
King/Enesco
An adult male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at King/Enesco. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by fire personnel. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and booked into jail for felony drunk driving.

Officer Involved Accident
Tully Road/Capitol Expressway
An officer was driving eastbound on Tully Road in a marked vehicle and was struck by another driver. The officer was taken to Regional Hospital by another officer for X-rays due to bruising and complaint of pain to her hip. She was treated and released. The other driver was cited for running a red light.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon
2848 Aborn Rd., Grange Hall
An unknown female stabbed a 14-year-old female attending a concert at the Grange Hall. The victim was transported to VMC via ambulance where it was determined the injuries were not life threatening. An officer located and stopped the suspect and an accomplice. The suspect was booked into Juvenile Hall.

Burglary
Various locations.
In late December, an officer responded to an auto burglary in progress. The suspect fled and was outstanding. The officer followed up and identified a possible suspect. Evergreen area officers responded to the suspect’s residence on this date. The suspect and his co-conspirator were taken into custody without incident. Both suspects had warrants and parole violations. Extensive follow up investigation revealed property from five auto burglary victims, two residential burglary victims and a large commercial burglary victim. The investigation is continuing.

While responding to assist other officers, an officer was involved in a non-injury accident.

Attempted Burglary
1600 block of Barberry
The resident at the above location called to report two Vietnamese male adults trying to break into the house. Units arrived and found one suspect prying open the front door and the other in a parked car acting as a lookout. One suspect was found to be on federal probation for robbery. Both suspects were taken into custody and booked for attempted burglary. This was a possible home invasion robbery.

Stolen Vehicle
Quimby/White Road
At 12:34 p.m., two suspects were taken into custody after taking a car from the gas station located at the above address. The suspects were lying on the ground at gunpoint and taken into custody without incident or injuries.
