Evergreen Area Police report

Jan. 1
Assault with Deadly Weapon
3400 Block of Brushcreek Way
A known subject came over to another subject’s residence to drop off three juveniles per court order. The subjects started to argue and got into a physical altercation. One subject’s nephew came out with a knife and joined in the fight against the first subject. The first subject went back to his truck to retrieve his legally registered handgun as ‘self-defense’ to get away from the other subjects. Officers arrived on the scene and recovered the knife and gun. The third subject (nephew), fled from the scene. A report was taken pending further follow-up and DA’s review.

Jan. 3
Burglary/Restraining Order Violation/Under Influence of a Stimulant/Vandalism
2700 Block of Buena Point Ct.
Officers responded to the above location regarding an estranged husband making entry into his ex-wife’s condominium. The victim, who was hiding with her child in an upstairs bedroom, advised the suspect he was in violation of a restraining order and could be heard inside the house. Officers made entry and located the suspect hiding in a closet. The suspect was arrested without incident and booked into jail.
