Evergreen Area Police report

Homicide on Brigadoon Way
July 8
At 1:47 a.m., San Jose Police Officers were dispatched to Brigadoon Way at Camperdown Way in response to a disturbance call. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, who was later pronounced dead at the scene by the San Jose Fire Department and Paramedics. The victim’s name was withheld by SJPD pending family notification. According to witnesses, there was a physical altercation between the victim and unknown subjects.

The suspect(s) fled the scene and have not been identified. No motive has been established for this case.

Fatal Traffic Collision at Arcade Avenue and Vin Santos Lane
June 28
San Jose Police officers were dispatched to a single vehicle traffic collision on Arcade Avenue at Vin Santos Lane at 6:35 p.m. Officers arrived and found Ju Chun Shao’s motorcycle had collided with an access road barrier pole. The victim, age 41, was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle involved is a 2006 burgundy Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Preliminary investigation indicates Shao was traveling south on Arcade Avenue. Shao lost control of the motorcycle as she approached the bend south of Vin Santos Lane. There is no indication of drug or alcohol influence.
