NEWS BRIEFS
Three-time Oscar nominated film director David Lynch
to autograph books at Barnes & Noble Eastridge
Three-time Oscar nominated director David Lynch will appear at the brand new Barnes & Noble bookstore, located at 2200 Eastridge Loop #1420 at the newly renovated Eastridge Shopping Center, on Saturday Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. to sign copies of his newly published book “Catching the Big Fish: Meditation, Consciousness and Creativity.”
In a rare work of public disclosure, David Lynch describes his personal methods of capturing and working with ideas, and the immense creative benefits he has experienced from the practice of meditation. In brief chapters, Lynch describes the experience of "diving within" and "catching" ideas like fish-and then preparing them for television or movie screens, and other mediums in which Lynch works, such as photography and painting. Following a spirited discussion of his book and other works, Lynch will autograph copies of his books.
A successful film director, Lynch masterminded the merger of art house cinema and Hollywood moviemaking with such notable cult hits as “Eraserhead,” “The Elephant Man,” “Wild At Heart,” “Twin Peaks” and “Mulholland Drive.” “Catching the Big Fish” provides revelations to legions of fans that have longed for a better understanding of Lynch’s deeply personal vision.
The public is invited to meet this successful and influential Hollywood filmmaker.
