No smoking in San Jose parks
New ordinance expands state law
A campaign to increase public awareness of the ban on smoking in San Jose parks hopes to ensure everyone knows and complies with the law. Beginning this month, electronic and print ads will reinforce no-smoking in all City parks, plazas, sidewalks, trails, pathways and special events held in City parks.
The ban will provide healthier air and hopefully cut down on litter in the public areas.
For more information regarding the No Smoking Ordinance, please visit www.sjparks.org or call the Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services at (408) 535-3570.
