Political leaders appeared at Democratic Century Club
Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren (below, left) led the list of political leaders who spoke at the annual holiday party luncheon for the Democratic Century Club. “Let’s show a little love as we develop a health care system,” she said, and added, “Whatever success I have had, I owe to the wonderful support that you have given me.”
Madison Nguyen, City of San Jose Councilwoman, noted, “It is important that all elected officials have the opportunity to vote with their conscience, rather than just for a selected group. Everyone should be represented equally and fairly.”
Other leaders who addressed the club were: Sally Lieber, Former California Assemblywoman, Twenty-Second District; California Senator Joseph Simitian, Eleventh Senate District and Liz Kniss, County Supervisor, District Five, Santa Clara County.
