First annual Under the Tuscan Moon event set for February 6
By Sharon Bennett
Special to the Times
With the ever growing budget cuts and in-creasing cost of education we have found a growing need to bring back the dinner/ auction fundraiser benefiting James Franklin Smith Elementary. Following the lead of other schools in the area and modeling it after the Books on Par fundraiser held several years previously, this event is sure to be a grand evening.

The James Franklin Smith PTA is holding this benefit, Under the Tuscan Moon, at the prestigious Ranch Golf Club on February 6th and the entire community is welcome. It is an opportunity to rub elbows with captains of industry while benefiting the children of JFS School through fundraising that will be used towards the purchase of technological media resources, books and artistic programs for the school. It’s a win-win event for the Evergreen community whether you have children that attend JFS or not.
The evening will start with a silent auction during the complimentary wine reception hosted by Albin Engineering. Attendees will bid on lavish gift baskets, donations from local business, and a variety of tickets to attractions and sports events. Next is the full course sit-down dinner followed by a live auction of amazing classroom art that is framed and ready for one’s home or office.
All the proceeds of this exciting event will be used to purchase technology, media re-sources, arts programs, and classroom supplies for the James Franklin Smith Elementary School. Your support is welcomed in helping children achieve academic excellence and preparing them to become the future leaders of our community. Tickets may be purchased by downloading the registration form from: www.jfs-pta.org/utm. |
