Evergreen Area Police report
Dec. 22
Burglary/Stolen Vehicle
2800 Block of D’Amico Drive
Two suspects attempted to burglarize the above residence. Reporting Party from the above residence immediately called the police. Officers promptly responded to the area. The two suspects were arrested after a brief foot pursuit. The suspects were driving a stolen vehicle with stolen property in it. The two suspects had burglarized a residence on Teddington Drive earlier and taken the car and items from the house. The two suspects were booked into the county jail.

Evading Police
Capitol/Nieman
Officers initiated a car stop to investigate vehicle code violations. The suspect vehicle fled northbound on Capitol at a high rate of speed. Officers did not pursue the vehicle. The suspect vehicle crashed into a sound wall at Capitol/ Cunningham. The suspect, on parole for auto theft, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was hospital-booked.

Armed Robbery
1600 block E. Capitol Expressway
An armed robbery occurred at the above location. Each of the two male suspects was armed with a handgun. These suspects held store employees and customers at gunpoint and demanded money. The suspects have not been identified or apprehended.

Attempted Robbery

An elderly female was grabbed from behind by an unknown male who tried to grab her purse. The suspect fled on foot when he was unable to get the purse. The victim was knocked to the ground. The suspect is unidentified and at large
Jan. 5
Burglary
2200 Block of Woodbury Lane
Officers responded to an alarm call at the school and arrested a suspect who had stolen laptop computers. The suspect was under the influence of a stimulant and in possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was booked into county jail.
